Party Makeup tutorial – Smokey Blue Eyeliner and Nude Lips
Applying eyeliner is a breeze for some women. When it comes to using colored eyeliner, it gets a little tricky. The reason for this is that colorful eyeliners do not look as subtle or casual as black or brown. Blue eyeliner was hot in the 80s, but is celebrating its big comeback today. Whether this makeup looks very flattering or rather inappropriate, depends mainly on the blue tone and your eye color. If you are in a dilemma about whether the blue eyeliner suits you or not, try the look below. The combination of black gel eyeliner and brown eyeshadows makes blue look less intrusive, yet makes the eyes beautifully radiant.

Smokey Blue Eyeliner – Step by step guide
First dab some concealer with your fingers on the eyelids. Then spread it evenly with a make-up sponge. Then apply sheer setting powder with a flat foundation brush.
Now use the Crease brush to apply Matte ocher eye shadow to contour the crease. Apply in the outer V as well. Soften any harsh edges with a fluffy blending brush.
Build up with illuminating bronzing powder in the same area by applying it with the defined crease brush. Apply brown eyeshadow in the outer part of the crease with a pencil brush for more definition. Blend with the defined crease brush. Blend towards the edge of the brow to make the eyes look lifted. Blend the eye shadow with blender brush.
Apply the matte ocher shade along the bottom lash line with a smudger brush. Smoke out the bottom outer corner with the bronzing powder and a pencil brush. Blend with the smudger brush.
Line the upper lash line with black eye pencil. Define the upper waterline. Apply black liquid eyeliner and draw a wing. Apply blue pencil eyeliner along the black eyeliner. Blend with the smudger brush. Add one more coat of blue pencil eyeliner to make the color more saturated.
Curl the lashes with eyelash curler and apply mascara to upper eyelashes.
Now prepare the face with moisturizer and a pore-filling primer. Dab foundation in the center of the face.Blend towards the edges of the face with a flat top foundation brush.
Comb the eyebrows with a spoolie and fill in any sparse areas with the eyebrow pencil. Finally, set in place with an eyebrow gel. Apply concealer under the eyes to cover up any dark circles. Brighten the center of the forehead, the bridge of the nose and the cupid’s bow. Blend with the flat top foundation brush. Go over with the makeup sponge. Finally, apply Sheer Setting Powder with the powder brush.
Warm up the cheekbones, the temples and the edges of the forehead by applying the illuminating bronzing powder with a fluffy angled brush. Apply what’s left on the brush on the nose and the chin with light sweeping motions. Apply blush to the cheekbone with the kabuki brush and apply a bit on the nose. Warm up the highlighter stick on the back of your hand and apply on the cheekbones with fingers. Highlight the tip of the nose.
With a nude lipliner trace the lips and then fill them out. Soften up the edges of the liner with a lip brush. Finally, apply nude lipstick.
