User friendly freestanding fireplace – Boxer Plus from Harrie Leenders
Harrie Leenders made the first Boxer freestanding fireplace back in 1982. The new Boxer Plus is the most sophisticated of his designs. Once you use the Boxer Plus it is quite likely that you will become a fan for the rest of your life. It is fully equipped with the latest technology in the field of clean and efficient firing. Boxer Plus takes only 8 pieces of wood for a day of burning.
The original Boxer design by Harrie Leenders has undergone some technical adjustments and stone walls were added so it got the Plus in its name. One of the greatest advantages of this particular freestanding fireplace is its design – it is compact, easy to use and looks neat and tidy. Moreover it offers the perfect combination – heats up fast and keeps the heat for eight hours. The exterior concrete walls are 7 cm thick and this is a guarantee that once heated the fireplace will release the heat for hours. This automatically means that less wood will be needed.
In the Boxer plus two different types of ceramic concrete are applied – one is used on the inside of the combustion chamber where it reaches high temperature very quickly. The other type is slow and soft, it holds the heat and gives a friendly warmth for an extra long time. The fireplace Boxer Plus is available in two versions -with side stones in white or black and a handle in charcoal. Tits compactness (100cm high x 46 wide x 61 deep), make it very functional for every home. Its capacity is from 4 to 12 kWh.
