Funky porcelain tea set with colored handles – I-Wares by Seletti

Seletti is an Italian manufacturer, established in 1964 and famous for their belief that “revolution is the only solution”. In the area of household, Seletti has won the reputation of offering innovative design objects from furniture and tableware to decorative items. This porcelain tea set is called I-Wares and is a funky interpretation of the classic style sets. Manufactured in classic white, the accent in this design is the handle which comes in bright colors such as green, orange, blue, pink and yellow. The collection includes the i-teapot, the i-sugar bowl and various types of Mugs: i-coffee for espresso, i-tea for tea and i-macchiato mug for hot drinks such as latte, cappuccino etc.

The teapot and sugar bowl have only yellow handles, while all other pieces of the porcelain tea set by Seletti, large and small cups, have handles in fluorescent colors. They look great both as a set or individually. Each cup has a personality and unique charm. The cups and mugs come in beautiful individual boxes and can also be great gifts.

The coffee and tea cups have a saucer and a small spoon, which complement the luxurious tea set in a beautiful and stylish manner. Since the set is made of heavy porcelain, the delicate relief decoration creates a nice contrast between the form and the actual weight of the cups. If you lift a cup, its weight is unexpected and surprising. All the pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe which makes them perfect for a modern household. Pieces from the I-Wares collection were exhibited at the Museum of Art & Design in New York.
