An old manor transformed into a modern country boutique hotel
ZASH hotel in Sicily was designed by the architectural studio Antonio Iraci. A manor from 1930’s is transformed into a stylish and modern country boutique hotel. The hotel of 510 m2 is located in the eastern part of Sicily, among citrus groves and a Mediterranean garden with views of Mount Etna. All rooms and paths are designed in a way that they have a contact with nature.
This charming and modern style country boutique hotel by Antonio Iraci has a unique sophisticated ambiance and the attention to detail is seen everywhere. The manor was possessed by the Maugeri family since the 1930s. The initial project to restore the winery grew to a renovation of the manor and transforming it in a way that it provides elegant contemporary accommodation in a preserved historic atmosphere. The lava stone and the vaults are features that bring to the unique ambience.
Zash offers nine rooms which are located in separate areas. Some of them are located in the main building, some are housed in the former cellar, and two rooms are amidst a picturesque citrus garden. The huge windows allow the blending of interior and exterior and give the impression that the trees are the walls of the rooms. A small restaurant occupies the place where once the process of wine fermentation took place and the customers are embraced by its romantic atmosphere. To respond to every possible requirement, this modern country boutique hotel features two meeting and events areas as well as a large garden.
