Make beautiful butterflies from paper or cardboard. Use the template we have shared with you. Print it out and cut according to the outline. You can use acrylic paints or colored pencils to make your butterflies even more beautiful. Experiment and have fun! Then you can incorporate them into some of the DIY projects we’ll share below!
You can even use old newspapers
Drink cans
Use drink cans for your flying beauties. Carefully cut off the bottom and lid and use the soft tin, on which you need to outline a beautiful butterfly. Cut it out carefully and color it in with felt pens or markers.
Fabric
Another material from which you can cut some cute butterflies is fabric. If you have an old t-shirt that you won’t wear anymore, you can use it, for example, why not? Choose a pattern you like, outline and cut butterflies out of the fabric.
Easy DIY Butterfly in a Jar
Turn the empty glass jars we know you keep somewhere in your home into an amazing magical butterfly oasis that will be a great decoration in your interior. Here’s what you need:
- а glass jar
- dry twigs
- moss and other natural materials of your choice
- butterflies (handmade or other)
- hot glue gun
Instructions:
- Wash and dry the glass jar (if there are labels, remove them).
- Take a walk in a nearby park or forest and collect natural materials – twigs, moss, etc.
- Trim the twigs so that they fit in the jar.
- Use a hot glue gun to secure the butterfly to the twig.
- Arrange the bottom of the jar with the moss and other decorations you have chosen. Then carefully tuck the twigs in and close the jar.
- Optionally, you can add a piece of burlap before you close the lid, which will add even more of a rustic vibe.
Bell Jar Butterfly Terrarium
Similar to the jar project we just shared, you can also make a terrarium. Focus on natural materials – choose and arrange them to look as natural as possible (as they would in nature, rather than chasing unnecessary symmetry). Add beautiful butterflies to bring a bit more opulence!
