The golden due in the fight against stubborn stains comes to the rescue once again! It’s no other than white vinegar and baking soda combination! The reason why this is a preferred method is that these two ingredients are much safer compared to the harsh chemicals on the market! Bonus point for being super effective, as well! White vinegar is extremely good in combating fungi and is a really strong disinfectant. Baking soda has abrasive qualities that quickly whiten and freshen up the surfaces. Here’s how to use them to clean the stubborn black spots on your toilet bowl:

  • Take a glass bowl and fill it with 1 cup of baking soda.
  • Prepare 1/4 cup of white vinegar and pour it slowly into the bowl with the baking soda.
  • Once you’ve done that, you should see a paste forming in the bowl.
  • Take a toilet cleaning brush and apply the paste to the stained area.

Cleaning Severe Black Stains From Toilet Bowl

hydrogen peroxide tartar cream diy cleaning mold black stains toilet bowl

If you’re dealing with really stubborn and nasty black stains, you’re going to need my hardcore mold-cleaning mixture! You’re going to need just two ingredients:

  • tartar cream
  • hydrogen peroxide

Tartar cream is an acidic powder which is really effective when dealing with really harsh stains. The biggest benefit of using this product is probably the fact it doesn’t contaminate the water. This is why I suggest it instead of buying an over-the-counter chemical that’s highly toxic. Hydrogen peroxide is actually one of the safest and strongest bleaching compounds. It cleans mold, corrosion, and hard water and kills bacteria in no time! When you combine these two products you get a super strong concoction that can remove even the most stubborn of stains! This is how it’s done:

  • First, you need to turn off the toilet water.
  • Make sure that all the stains are above water level.
  • Mix together 1 cup of tartar cream and 1/3 hydrogen peroxide until it forms a solid paste.
  • Apply the mixture to the spots with a toilet-cleaning brush.
  • Let it sit for 30 minutes.
  • Rub the spots with the toilet brush.
  • Turn the water back on and flush the toilet.
