Let’s first start out with trying the traditional version of this tasty and easy garlic bread recipe! Are you ready?

What you will need:

  • 1 baguette, or other type of bread you prefer
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, grated
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons of butter
  • 2-3 sprigs of parsley, minced
  • 3 tablespoons of grated cheese
  • a dash of salt (for taste)

Preparation:

Begin with grating the garlic cloves. Then mince the parsley and also grate the cheese. Turn the oven to 350 °F/ 180 °C. Make sure there is a rack in the middle of the oven. Take a pan and put the olive oil, butter, and garlic and cook for around 2-3 minutes on medium heat. After you are done, turn off the heat and mix in the parsley and salt. Take out a baking tray and place foil on the bottom. Cut the baguette in half, or any other way you prefer. Evenly spread the garlic mix on the bread. You can also season the bread on top with a herb or spice you enjoy like oregano, basil or black pepper. Cover the bread with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes on the middle rack of the oven. In the last few minutes, be sure to keep on eye on the bread to prevent it from burning! Once you see that it is ready, take it out and enjoy. Good job!

How to make cheesy garlic bread

Now, let’s make a garlic bread recipe that’s even more cheesy and delicious! Alright!

What you will need:

  • a baguette/ a loaf of bread
  • 1/3 cup/ 30 grams of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups/ 340 grams of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of grated garlic
  • ½ cup/ 110 grams of butter
  • ¾ cup/ 170 grams of mayonnaise
  • 2-3 sprigs of chopped parsley
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of chopped chives

Preparation:

First, preheat the oven to 350 °F/180 °C. Then grate the garlic and Parmesan cheese. Chop the parsley and chives. Take out a small bowl and mix together what you chopped and grated, along with the butter and mayonnaise. Whisk everything together. Then shred the mozzarella and add it to the same mixture. Take a baking tray and put foil on the bottom. Spray it with cooking spray if you have. Take a sharp knife and cut slits in the bread without going all the way through. You will place the cheesy mixture in them. Put the bread in the baking tray. Carefully and evenly pour the cheese mixture into the cut slits of the bread. Take another piece of foil, spray it with cooking spray and tightly cover the bread. Put to bake for 20-25 minutes. Then remove the top foil and let the bread sit in the oven for 5 extra minutes to get a golden top. Serve. What a taste!
