Interior design – fashion color trends for 2014

With the new year already here, most of us look at their “Things to do” list and many of us are having plans for changes and refurbishments at home. As interior design is an ever changing matter and never stands still we shall try to ease you and show you some of the predictions for the fashion color trends for 2014.

 

The top fashion color trends of 2014 in home design are presented in the gallery below in a few interiors that incorporate these tones in an elegant and stylish way. Orange, tangerine and pink are expected to linger for a few more months as they were trendy during 2013. Having in mind that these colors are difficult to decorate with, it is quite likely that they shall be replaced by yellow and its variations. Yellow can be beautifully combined with gray, taupe and other shades of organic, natural colors.

Blue is a classic and popular choice for many reasons as it combines with most other colors. Accented by gold or silver pops it will be among the leading palettes in the fashion color trends for 2014. Red will have its share as well and it is much more likely that we see some more delicate shades in combination with creamy colors and very dark hues, instead of bold bright red. Gold and silver are tending to replace the classic black-and-white designs as gold trims and accessories add warmth and shine to the interior. It is for sure that the color trend is pointed at the neutral palette and we shall see a lot of hushed, serene and soft colors.
