How do our printable templates work? Go through the following steps:
- Choose your favorite images and save them on your laptop or computer.
- If you want a certain image to be smaller, make sure you resize it before you send it to print.
- Use masking tape to attach the template to the outer side of the window. Make sure that it’s dry, otherwise, it won’t stick.
- Then, use chalk markers for glass to outline the drawing from the inside.
Have you ever wondered why we draw on our windows? While there is no documented story about how, nor when it began as a practice, we can confidently assume that it’s inspired by the ancient art of stained glass. Dating back to Ancient Egypt and Rome when they used small colored objects to create glass murals, this art form traveled to Southwest Asia and even Britain. It was originally used to portray historical, as well as religious scenes, mainly in churches. Over the years, the technique has found its place in our everyday lives in the form of interior elements and decorations.
