The Deglon Meeting – a kitchen knife set with a space-saving concept
The Deglon meeting is the kitchen knife set of any modern chef. Designed by Mia Schmallenbach for the Deglon Manufacturer in a minimalistic style and in a space-saving concept, it is inspiring not only by the way it looks but from its practicality as well. This set of sculptural, nested knives is practical, durable and a work of art. Mia grew up in Indonesia and has spent the last six years studying industrial design in Brussels. She tried different options and designs for knives, until she came up with the idea to arrange the knives in one unit.
First of all it looks amazing as if it’s made of one single block of stainless steel. The Deglon meeting kitchen knife set designed by Mia Schmallenbach saves a lot of space, it is neat and tidy. It is easy to maintain and clean, it does not affect the flavour of food, does not harbour germs and has a long life. You can take it anywhere with you, even pack it in a picnic basket. Imagine how this set will make you feel – like a true Chef, right?
The set includes 4 knives – a paring knife, a utility knife, a chef knife and a slicer. They are crafted to go inside each other and the entire set fits into the included steel block using almost the same space as a standard chef’s knife. In order to remove each of them, you simply have to press a little down the tip of the blade and lift away by the handle. Nowadays the kitchen is a multi purpose space and quite often a part of the living room. You can entertain your friends and family while preparing meals and look modern and elegant with your kitchen equipment.
