Ingredients:
- 110 g + 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 50 grams of brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 8 slices of soft bread
- 2 eggs
- 60 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredients for the glaze:
- 50 grams of granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 – 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 100 g cream cheese, room temperature
- 30 grams of powdered sugar
Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the cinnamon butter and bread
First, mix the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl until well combined. Then cut off the crust of your bread. Roll each slice into a flat piece and spread the cinnamon butter mixture over the surface in a thin layer.
Step 2: Prepare the French toast
Whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Dip each roll in the mixture – no need to soak them: just in and out. Make sure the entire roll is covered.
Melt the butter (2 tablespoons) in a pan and fry each roll until golden brown on all sides.
Step 3: Prepare the topping and glaze
For the topping, mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Drop each roll into the mixture and turn so it’s completely covered. Set the rolls aside.
For the topping, mix together the softened butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until well combined. Place the mixture in a piping bag and drizzle over the rolls, or keep in a separate bowl for dipping.
Delicious recipe for sweet rolls with Nutella and strawberries
Strawberry Nutella French toast rolls – with just a handful of ingredients, they’re ready in 15 minutes and taste incredibly delicious! It’s tempting to go out for brunch at the weekend, but why not stay home and try these? Coffee is free, and brunch at home doesn’t require you to slip out of your pajamas or straighten your hair.
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of fresh, white sandwich bread, without the crust
- 250 g strawberries, diced
- 4 1/2 tablespoons Nutella
- 50 g fine sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Ingredients for the egg mixture:
- 1 egg (large)
- 2 tablespoons milk (whole milk or low-fat)
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions:
- Place all the ingredients for the egg mixture in a flat-bottomed bowl large enough to place the roll.
- Mix the ingredients with a whisk.
- Sprinkle the sugar in a small bowl.
- Using a rolling pin, roll the bread flat. This will make the bread slices easier to roll up (and keep them rolled up).
- Spread each piece of bread with about 3/4 tablespoon Nutella.
- Sprinkle with strawberries.
- Then roll up the bread slice. The Nutella keeps them tight.
- Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Roll each bun in the egg mixture, shaking off the excess, and place the roll in the pan. Repeat the process with the remaining buns.
- Bake the rolls until each side is golden brown, about 4 minutes, turning them about every 1 minute.
- Remove the rolls from the pan and immediately place them in the sugar. Roll the buns to coat them with sugar and then remove them. Repeat the process with the remaining rolls.
- Serve them immediately while they are still warm.
