What is lash lift?

Sometimes even the best mascara doesn’t work and that’s when lash enhancement comes in to save the day! But what is it exactly? As the name clearly suggests, it is a long-lasting eye makeup technique that gives its wearer curled lashes from the root, also creating the optical illusion of longer length. For your information, it is also known as a “eyelash enhancement”. How does the process work?

During the lash lift procedure, the practitioner will have you lie down, close your eyes and clean the entire eye area. What effect can I expect?

If, on the other hand, the problem is that your eyelashes are not very dense, it will probably be better to take advantage of another technique, such as adding extensions, for example. How long does a lash lift last?

Certainly, having a professional lash lift is much more durable than curling your eyelashes at home. However, it is not a permanent makeup and the duration of the achieved aesthetic effect is limited. The reason is quite simple: this technique only uses your own eyelashes which, like any hair, renew themselves every few weeks. This is why the duration of an eyelash enhancement is individual: it depends on the life cycle of your own hairs. In most cases, the visible effect of the lash lift lasts around 5 or 6 weeks.

Are there any contraindications and dangers?

Like any procedure that involves the use of chemicals, lash lift is not without risk. First of all, an allergic person must inform himself in detail about the composition of the specific products used and avoid them in case of possible risk.

Similarly, lash lifting is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women and anyone with a hormonal imbalance, as the practice may be ineffective due to hormones.
