Exciting furniture ideas for a small teen room

The following photos represent a number of fresh energetic teen room ideas – the characteristics that combine all these designs are especially designed for small spaces and present the cleverly designed, space-saving furniture. The bedroom projects were designed by the interior designer Sergi Mengot from Barcelona.

He has combined the furniture and the colors with great attention in his designs for teenage rooms, so that the  furniture does not allow the room seem cluttered and there is enough free space for movement. The furniture consists of a small bed, a desk and a storage space. The storage space is thoughtfully organized and high shelving provides ample space for all the books of the students. The bed is usually combined with additional storage. Some decorative pillows are placed on the bed.

The teen room design by Sergi Mengot is characterized by a very special decor – furniture pieces are close to the walls and thus the center remains free. A carpet of the same color as the other accents in the room is a part of the design. The mattress, the bedspread, curtains and other decorations are coordinated. Photos and pillows with interesting upholstery serve as the only decoration in the teenagers’ rooms, the colored furnishings create an inviting atmosphere. Natural materials like wood were preferred for the design, although often these are combined with acrylic furniture in bold colors. Red, blue, purple and yellow are preferred as accent colors, while white and gray  are the perfect colors for the background.

The bright teenage rooms by Sergi Mengot are designed in pastel color palette. Each room has a main color that determines the atmosphere – the remaining colors are mostly neutral and stay in the background. In this way, a balance is created, so that the space is used optimally and the as a result even smaller rooms are more spacious and open.
