Designed by a noted Los Angeles architect Barbara Bestor, from Bestor Architecture this modern masterpiece is the ultimate holiday home. The main purpose of the project was to create a rustic yet modern home with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, ocean and islands.

The owners wanted a holiday home as a weekend retreat to escape the city life. A winding road leads to the property and reveals magnificent views of the mountains. The house is situated in Santa Barbara on a plot of 160 acres and offers 3,500-square-foot main house with three bedrooms, 2 ½ bathrooms, a media room and a yoga room. An additional fully equipped one bedroom, one bathroom guesthouse offers accommodation for up to four people. The exterior design features there courtyards which bring natural light inside the house. A beautiful infinity-edge swimming pool and a cabana with a bathroom and outdoor shower offer a place for entertaining and relax.

This incredible holiday home is designed in a way that nature and modern lifestyle are in a perfect symbiosis. The huge telescoping glass panels are the perfect frame for the panoramic views of Santa Barbara coastline and a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor space. Rough concrete walls and warm wood finishes add the rustic touch to the interiors. An open plan kitchen dining room space gives the feeling of airiness and the deck area alongside invites for a lovely time outdoors. Each bedroom has most fabulous views of the mountain framed in glass walls. The simplicity of the interiors enhances the feeling of home which is unpretentious and has a lot to offer.
