Cut two egg carton cups.

Glue a piece of paper to each half, acting as a hinge.

Paint the carton with the yellow paint.

Take small pieces of card stock, two yellow and two orange, cut into triangles.

Fix one yellow triangle on each side of the inner bottom egg carton cup. Fix one orange triangle on the front of the inner top and another on the inner bottom egg carton cup.

Cut orange card stock into feet and glue to the bottom cup. Draw small eyes with the black marker.

Cut 2 egg compartments and trim off any excess to create a flat top.

Place the trimmed egg cartons on top of each other with the flat tops touching. Take a piece of masking tape and put a small piece on the back of the cartons.

Then open up the egg carton and place another piece of masking tape on the inside.

Paint the egg cartons in a spring color.

Cut 2 bunny ear shapes out of the foam.

Once the paint has dried, add the eyes and pink pom pom for the nose with glue.

Glue on the ears as well.

Take a black marker and add whiskers and eyelashes.

Fill with candy.

Cut the sides of each cavity. Trim the sides to make them round. You will need three cups, one with smaller “petals” and two with larger ones.

Cut leaves, stems and a short straight strip from the flat top of the egg carton.

Paint all the petals into bright spring colors and paint the stem and leaves green.

You will need:

  • A foam base
  • Egg carton
  • Green cardstock or felt
  • Acrylic or watercolor paints
  • PVA glue
  • Scissors

Directions:

Cut out a foam base. Draw a circle and a smaller circle about 2 inches/5 cm inside the larger one. Cut out the ring. Paint green and leave to dry.

Paint the egg cartons in pink, blue, peach and yellow. You will need a few coats to get a vivid, even color. Leave to dry.

Cut different-sized leaves out of green card and felt. Put a generous amount of PVA glue all over the foam ring and stick the leaves on in small clusters so they are hanging over the outer and inner edges.

While the glue is still wet, stick on the egg cartons, alternating colors until the ring is full. Leave to dry overnight.

Glue a pom pom into the center of each egg carton flower. Dot paper butterflies onto a few of the cartons.

Add a ribbon to the back of the wreath for hanging.
