How to do your manicure in the first month of the new year? January is all about new beginnings, so why not try something you haven’t before? Let me tell you that 2023 is predicted to be a year where it’s very important to find yourself and experiment until you find what’s right and what’s for you. It will be the same with nail design. Want short nails? Do it. Never seen yourself with long nails? Try it out and see if you like it! There are no rules, really only one and that is to like yourself and feel good. However, let’s still see what trends the month of January has in store for us!

Speaking of innovative and being creative in 2023, have you tried a French manicure but backwards? No doubt we all love the classic sophisticated French manicure, but most likely you’ve worn it countless times. Time to try something new and just as elegant. You could add a little color as shown in the picture with the forest green. Spice it up with some glitter for more of a wow effect. This type of design definitely looks better on long nails, as having short ones can make them look even shorter. If this is the case, go for the classic French manicure which you can never go wrong with, as I like to say.

Chrome nails

Chrome nails became a huge hit the last few months of 2022. Especially around the holidays, people started getting them done in red, green, silver or gold, which added to the festival vibe. In 2023, they are expected to be a hit again during the winter months as the colors will be slightly different. For example, this dill chrome design paired with white is a great choice for nails in January 2023. The design is clean, stylish and very elegant. You can certainly pair it with your winter outfits as it won’t look too much. If you don’t want as much shine from the dill chrome, make most of your nails white and use the chrome only as an accent.

I didn’t understand matte nails before. They were definitely not one of my favorites, but that was until recently. Since late 2022, they’ve been buzzing a lot and more and more nail artists have started applying them and doing them on a lot of people. Whether one nail that stands out or all that are matte, there are many designs to choose from. If you want to stand out, opt for something like the one pictured. Simple but very effective, black will undoubtedly go with a lot of your clothes and accessories. How can you not love matte with all these great art designs to choose from?

White nails with gold decoration

White will always be fashionable in nail design. This color allows you to fulfill every desire from any decoration to something quite clean and simple. It’s also easy to pair with many things and not to mention how it naturally highlights your skin tone and makes it look more radiant. White nails will always be a favorite of mine and not just me as it became a total hit in December. But how to adapt them for the month of January? Add a gold or silver decoration for a little sparkle and you won’t regret it.

Purple nails

Undoubtedly, the color purple is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your next manicure. However, come 2023, purple and especially magenta will be among the most requested and trendiest shades. Now that it’s been revealed that the color of the year according to Pantone is Viva La Magenta, you need to get ready for the wave that’s about to wash over our fashion and nails, as well as our hairstyles with this color. As you can see in the picture, we can’t do without a bit of glamour.
