Pre-Wedding Skincare Routine for Future Brides: How to Look Glowy on Your Special Day?
My lovelies, I know that preparing for this day can be quite stressful, because all eyes will be on you. As a bride, you have to look like a true “Greek goddess” and to be absolutely stunning. Yes, you already have the perfect dress, but we have to take care of our skin as well!
What Skin Care Should I Do Before Wedding?
Skincare is important every day, not only for a special occasion, but I am sure you are well aware of that. However, desperate times call for desperate measures. We have to change something and act quick. Think about your wedding photos! We all want them to be exquisite! That’s why I am going to tell you exactly what to do step by step!
- First, make sure that your skin is well cleansed. Depending on your skin type, get a cleanser that will get deeper in your skin and will remove any dirt and dead cells. We have to say “goodbye” to the blackheads somehow!
- Speaking of blackheads, exfoliation is also essential. Make sure you get an exfoliant that is not too harsh, because it might strip the skin and leave damage. Get something gently and massage it onto damp skin. Rinse it off with warm water.
- If you are doing your pre-wedding skincare routine at home, make sure you leave time for some facial masks. You can either DIY them from natural products like honey, oat milk, avocado, etc. Or you can get some sheet masks that will make you look glowy.
- Next step is toner! Many women skip it, because they think it is not necessary. However, according to many skincare specialists, toners can actually hydrate your skin super well and prepare it for the next products. Before the wedding, don’t miss out on it! Get something that is both moisturizing and brightening (with vitamin C).
- Now, hydration, hydration, hydration! Apply a good moisturizer. It’s your wedding, you can splurge on a high-end product. Apply on your neck as well.
- Serums are also essential! A brightening serum or a hydrating one can play a huge role in how your skin is going to look on your wedding day!
- My last advice is to go for a Gua Sha massage at home that will help you for lymphatic drainage, and your skin won’t look puffy at all!

How Can I make My Skin Glow Before My Wedding?
I am not going to start with the cliché “just drink a lot of water”, even though you really have to! If you want to make your skin glow before your wedding day, then try this out:
- It is essential to pay attention to your diet. Avoid eating sugar and dairy.
- Cut the alcohol and the coffee. I know that you love the first sip of coffee in the morning, but the skin glow is your main priority right now!
- DIY facial mask for glowy skin: You are going to need turmeric, yogurt, honey and oat milk. Mix a little but of everything in a small bowl together. Apply the mixture onto your face and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water and you are going to notice the instant glow. The turmeric powder have that effect on the skin!
