How to Make Popsicle Stick Christmas Ornaments

Materials:

• Popsicle sticks
• Mini craft sticks
• Twine
• Strong glue

For the snowman:

• Snowflake sticker
• Small black buttons
• Black and white paint
• Orange cardstock for the nose
• Sharpie
• Red glitter paint

For the Santa:

• Small red pom-pom
• Small googly eyes
• Cotton balls
• White pom pom for santa’s hat
• Red and natural beige paint
• Small black buttons

For the Christmas Tree:

• Gold glitter stars
• Green paint
• Rhinestones
• Gold glitter paper for the trunk or brown cardstock

Instructions:

Snowman:

Paint 4 popsicle sticks white and glue them together.

Paint a mini craft stick black and glue to the top of the snowman. Paint the remaining top black.

Cut two strips of red glitter paper and add slits to the end. Glue down to make the scarf. Then glue on two small black buttons.

Make a carrot nose from orange cardstock and glue on. Draw the eyes and mouth with a black sharpie.

Glue on the snowflake and some twine to the back.

Santa:

Glue 4 popsicle sticks together. You can add a mini craft stick to the back to help with gluing them together. Then paint the bottom red and natural beige at the top.

Cut a hat out of red glitter paper and glue down to the top.

Paint the popsicle sticks and glue them together. To form a snowflake, put a small bit of hot glue in between each popsicle stick.

Easy DIY Popsicle Stick Santa Ornaments

Materials:

• 1 large popsicle stick
• 1 small yellow pom pom
• 1 small white pom pom
• 1 mini red pom pom
• Black, red and white craft paint
• 1 Q-tip
• 1 cotton ball
• Red ribbon

Instructions:

Paint 2/3 of the popsicle stick with red paint as well as a small portion at the top for the hat.

Once the paint is dry, add a white stripe at both red edges as well as a black stripe around the center of the popsicle stick. Use a Q-tip to help make an even line.

Paint the triangle red, and let it dry.

Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts – Glittering Trees

Materials:

• 3 Green Popsicle Sticks
• 1 Purple Popsicle Stick
• 4″ of Twine
• Sticker Rhinestones
• Glittery Foam Star Stickers
• Hot Glue

Instructions:

Cut the green popsicle sticks into 6 pieces in 1/2″, 1″, 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″ and 3″ lengths.

To cut the popsicle sticks, firmly cut into the popsicle stick on both sides of the popsicle stick a few times. Then bend it and it should cleanly snap apart where you scored it.

Add a generous glob of hot glue on the end of the purple popsicle stick, place both ends of the twine on top of the glue, then sandwich the 1/2″ piece of green popsicle stick on top to hold the twine hanger in place.

Line up the remaining 5 green popsicle stick pieces evenly on the purple popsicle stick and glue them in place with hot glue.

Use hot glue to attach the sparkly foam sticker star.

Materials:

• Craft sticks (colored or plain)
• Pipe cleaners
• Hot glue
• Decorations – buttons, small bells, beaded starts, plastic jewels, etc.

Instructions:

Glue your craft stick together in a triangle.

Glue on your craft materials in any design or order on the sides of the triangle.

Cut your pipe cleaner so it can be folded in half and be large enough to hang on a tree branch. Glue to the top underside of your tree.

Hot glue the back sides of your ornament, add your photo, and press tight to seal. Cut around the sides to remove excess photo.

How to Make a Popsicle Stick Toy Soldier Ornament

Materials:

• Jumbo craft sticks
• Mini craft sticks
• Red, yellow, blue, and black acrylic paint
• Foam brushes, sponge tip and plastic insert removed
• Satin Mod Podge
• Tacky craft glue
• Hot glue
• Twine
• Paintbrushes

Instructions:

Use the blue, red, and yellow paint to make a toy soldier uniform on the wide craft sticks.

Use the end of a paintbrush dipped in yellow paint to make buttons for the soldier’s uniform.

Use red and yellow paint and mini craft sticks to create arms for the toy soldier ornaments. Dip the end of a small paintbrush into black paint to make eyes for the soldier ornaments.

Glue all of the ornament pieces together with tacky craft glue or hot glue.

Squeeze a small drop of glue inside of the sponge tip, then slide the sponge onto the toy soldier’s head.

Popsicle Stick Christmas Crafts – Easy Reindeer Ornament

Materials:

• Popsicle sticks (or craft sticks)
• Hot glue gun
• Glue stick
• Roed or black pom pom
• Small yellow pom poms
• Black marker
• Paintbrush
• Brown paint
• Colored cardstock

Instructions:

Take 4 popsicle sticks and line them up. Cut a regular popsicle stick into thirds.

Stretch a glue dot along the length of the cut popsicle sticks and glue horizontally across the top, middle, and bottom of the 4 popsicle sticks.

Flip the 4 popsicle sticks over and paint them with brown paint. Let dry completely.

Instructions:

Use hot glue to attach small black buttons to the bottoms of two popsicle sticks.
