Halloween Toilet Paper Rolls Craft Ideas – Monstrous Luminaries
Materials:
- Toilet paper rolls
- Pencil
- X-Acto knife
- Battery-operated tea candles
- Watercolor
- White masking tape (for mummy)
- Bubble wrap (for zombie)
- Brass fasteners (for zombie)
- Pipe cleaners (for cat)
Directions:
Draw the eyes, noses, and/or mouths on the toilet paper rolls with a pencil and cut the shapes out with an X-Acto knife.
Color in each creature.
Ghost – Because the paper roll is white, you can leave the ghost as is. Optionally, you can add strips of white tissue paper or glue on cotton balls as additional decoration.
Jack-o-Lantern – Cutting this was the closest as I’ll get to carving a pumpkin this year. Mine is just as cute as any real jack-o-lantern, but without the mess!
Mummy – Peel masking tape and stick it onto the toilet paper roll.
Zombie – Paint the bubble wrap pink, roll it roughly with the bubbles facing outward, and insert it on top of the toilet paper roll where the zombie’s brain would be.
Black cat – Fold the top halves of the toilet paper roll inward to create the ears. Cut two pieces of pipe cleaner and fold them in half. The length depends on how long you want the whiskers. Puncture a small hole on each cheek and insert the pipe cleaner into the toilet paper roll.
Owl – Fold the top halves of the toilet paper roll inward to create the ears.
Insert a LED candle inside the creatures.
